BOTOX INJECTIONS

Botox is a protein produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. In addition to its use for cosmetic purposes, it is also used therapeutically by Dr. Masood for chronic migraine, spasticity, torticollis, blepharospasm, and axillary hyperhidrosis (sweating under the arm).


LUMBAR EPIDURAL STEROID INJECTIONS

These procedures are performed to relieve pain in the back and legs that is due to a herniated disc, spinal stenosis, or arthritic changes in the joints in the back causing nerve root impingement.


LUMBAR FACET INJECTIONS/MEDIAL BRANCH NERVE BLOCKS

These injections help relieve pain in the back related to arthritis of the facet joints, the small joints in your back that enable you to bend and twist. It involves the injection of a local anesthetic and sometimes a steroid.


LUMBAR RADIOFREQUENCY ABLATION/RHIZOTOMY

This procedure helps relieves pain in the back related to arthritis of the facet joints for a duration of up to 12 months. This procedure involves the use of an electric current applied to the medial branch nerves innervating the small joints in your back.


OCCIPITAL NERVE STIMULATION

This procedure involves 2 stages. The first stage involves a one week trial in which an electrode is placed over one or both occipital nerves on the back of your head to prevent pain transmission to the brain. If successful, the device is later implanted.


OCCIPITAL NERVE AND TRIGEMINAL NERVE BLOCKS

These procedures involve injecting a local anesthetic and steroid at the site of various peripheral nerves in the head and face to treat headache and facial pain disorders.


TRIGGER POINT INJECTIONS

These procedures involve injection of a local anesthetic into painful points in the muscles of the back. These injections can help treat myofascial pain syndrome.
